Reid Crawford has distinguished himself in service to the nonprofit community for more than 30 years. He has more than 20 years of success in development, advancement and external affairs, on campus and as an independent consultant.

Mr. Crawford provides fundraising guidance and assistance to nonprofit organizations including educational, cultural, and health organizations. Prior to that time, he was vice president for university advancement for the University of Maryland. Mr. Crawford implemented the university’s first organized, comprehensive campaign, generating more than $350 million for capital, endowment and scholarship priorities. Before coming to Maryland, Mr. Crawford worked in various capacities for Iowa State University including vice president for external affairs. In this capacity, he supervised the activities of several major university units, with an annual budget in excess of $22 million.

He has worked with numerous organizations, assisting them with capital campaign management, major gift fundraising and strategic planning. Following are some of the clients he has served:

In 1973, Mr. Crawford was elected to the 100-member Iowa House of Representatives where he represented a district of 28,000 constituents until 1981. During that time, he chaired a major standing committee. Mr. Crawford earned a Bachelor of Arts, with distinction, from Iowa State University, and a Juris Doctorate from Drake University Law School.
