Santa Fe Prep School
Achieving the Dream
Nestled in New Mexico’s scenic Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Santa Fe Prep, a private, independent high school, aims to prepare its students with the skills, disciplines, and values necessary for college and a successful future. To facilitate those efforts, the school recently embarked on an ambitious $7 million Achieving the Dream campaign.
Recognizing their need for support in reaching their fundraising goals, Santa Fe Prep turned to The Compass Group. With Compass CEO Frank Pisch serving as lead consultant throughout the planning and implementation of the campaign, Santa Fe Prep met and exceeded their campaign goal within the two-year timeline, completing the campaign in the spring of 2007.
Santa Fe Prep’s Achieving the Dream campaign made this new library possible. It is one of only a few buildings to receive LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) status in all of New Mexico.
“Santa Fe Prep's Achieving the Dream campaign, which is the largest capital campaign ever endeavored by our school, has been a grand success largely due to the guidance from Frank Pisch and The Compass Group,” says campaign co-chair Leigh Ann Brown. “From the needs assessment survey to defining, achieving and eventually exceeding our initial campaign goal, Frank's guidance, through his experience and professionalism, was instrumental in every facet of our campaign.”
In addition to supporting Prep’s successful completion of the campaign, Compass professionals worked with staff and volunteers to increase the school’s long-term organizational capacity for raising money. Prep is positioned well to build on their success, both through ongoing fundraising and in future campaigns. The real winners, of course, are the students, who will continue to receive the outstanding education that is associated with Santa Fe Prep.
